Rules for creators in Egypt
Egypt does not yet have a dedicated influencer licence like the UAE or Saudi Arabia. Creators earning income are required to register for tax, and accounts with more than 5,000 followers fall under the media regulation law. Licensing proposals for content creators were put to parliament in 2026, so we check the current position before each campaign.
Gaming in Egypt
Egypt is part of the region's largest gaming audience. Niko Partners counts around 72 million gamers across Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Egypt combined at the end of 2024. Mobile gaming dominates, which makes mobile titles, streamers and telecom tie-ins especially relevant.
