Marketing for cafés, restaurants and food brands

Food is one of the most-watched categories on social media in the region. We help cafés and restaurants turn that attention into tables, orders and regulars.

TikTokCreator visitsRamadan menusOpenings

People decide where to eat on their phones. They search TikTok and Instagram for a place, watch a creator's visit, check the menu, then book or order. Every step is a chance to win or lose them, which is why food brands need content that is appetising, honest and frequent.

Ramadan and Eid

Ramadan changes when and how people eat, and when they scroll. Iftar and suhoor offers, gathering menus and late-night hours all need to be shot and announced before the month begins. Ramadan 2027 is expected to start around 8 February 2027, subject to moon sighting, so planning starts in late 2026.

Experience

Before founding HighGround, our team worked on campaigns with Baskin Robbins and with entertainment destinations including The Dubai Mall and Reel Cinemas.

FAQ

Questions we get asked

Do food influencers in the UAE need a licence?

Yes. Since 31 January 2026, creators in the UAE who promote a business on social media, including restaurants and cafés, need an Advertiser Permit from the National Media Authority. The rule covers unpaid promotion too, such as a hosted meal in exchange for a post. We check permits before booking.

What should a café post on social media?

Short videos of drinks and dishes being made, the space at its best time of day, the people behind the counter, new items and seasonal offers. Real moments perform better than heavily staged ones.
